It's #MGBookTober!

It's now fall and officially October, so that means it's also MGBookTober, a time when we celebrate middle grade fiction. Here's the list of daily book questions/ideas to support #MGBookTober:

We're off to a strong, two-day start with my advisory group! We all brought our "currently reading" books for a book selfie on Oct. 1.

New (Interactive) Library Display

We're so excited in the library about our newest display! A recent Twitter post with the hashtag "ReadIt" showed a student holding a book in front of a Twitter-inspired space, and an idea took hold. A quick Instagram search showed more than 186,000 posts with the "#ReadIt" tag. How could we not add our own #ReadIt pictures?!

To kick off the display, Mrs. Howard and I each showed off what we'd read (and loved!), and now we're ready for you to join us. Stop by the library, grab one of your favorite books, and get ready to be part of our #ReadIt display! We'll add posts to Instagram--be sure to follow us at @DCGLibraries!

DCG Middle School Library & Social Media

Social media is everywhere, so why not bring the MS Library along? If you haven't been following us on Instagram or on Snapchat or on Pinterest, now's the time to join us!

The Instagram and Snapchat accounts feature pictures and videos of students, lessons, book talks, class activities, and all things library! Both can be found with the username DCGLibraries and reflect happenings in our K - 7 libraries.

The Pinterest account is a board that features middle school book recommendations and book trailers. CLICK HERE to access the board and visit often as it's updated regularly.
